Group Class Levels:
- Level 1 classes are for beginners or those who want to brush up on their basics. In level 1 classes you will learn the basic rhythm and pattern of the dance. You must complete at least one month of level 1 before advancing to the next level. Most people stay in level 1 for 2-3 months before they are ready to take level 2 classes.
- Level 2 classes are for intermediate dancers who have a solid understanding of the material and concepts in level 1. Level 2 is a 6-12 month program in which you learn new material each month. Each month contains the same level of difficulty so you may begin the program at any time. Most people stay in level 2 for up to a year before they are ready for level 3 classes.
How Group Classes Work...
Drop in classes
Our Beginner classes are non progressive and can be joined anytime. Payment for these classes is made each week at the door. These can be joined at any time. Expect to take between 4 and 8 classes to really become familiar with the dance, the patterns, lead and follow. If you miss a class no big deal. You will be able to pick up where you left off. Plus its a great way to have fun dancing while meeting new friends.
Series Classes
Most of our level 2 Intermediate group classes are what we call series classes. They start during the first week of the month and progress through a 4-week series. Each week's class builds on the previous week towards the next. It is best to start on week 1 but it is possible to begin week 2. Payment is made at the start of the series.
